We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large busy training practice in North West London. The practice has a multi-disciplinary team and includes GP's & GP trainers, Nurses, pharmacists and two physician associates. The practice works with and trains medical students and GP Registrars. They are currently also applying to take physician associate students as part of their broader range of training. The practice ensure that they maximise the use of IT systems to enable patient access & consultations. The patient population of around 18,000pts is diverse and multi-generational with a leaning towards a younger patient group and higher than average levels of deprivation. The practice has a 'good' overall rating by the CQC. 
The practice are looking to recruit a newly qualified or recently qualified physician associate to join their team. You will be offered 1st year training with a defined GP supervisor and support including weekly supervisor tutorials and monthly locality physician associate specific tutorials to ensure a thorough preceptorship leading to a role built around ensuring you the opportunity to maximise your career potential. As the practice has a large team of GP trainers with a number of specialists interest you will be keen to eventually develop your own sub-specialisation within general practice. On-going you will be offered a package of CPD, training and support as well as weekly tutorial sessions.
You will be a newly qualified or recently qualified Physician Associate committed to working in general practice. After preceptorship you will want to start to develop your own subspecialty interests for example chronic disease management, cardiology, family planning, sexual health, cancer care and oncology or community geriatrics. You will be motivated by learning and personal development. You may also be keen to develop teaching skills. The practice is keen to develop the role of physician associate and, with your commitment, will invest time in developing you & your career to hopefully undertake a leadership role in the future.
